I Run Marathon
I-Run Goa Marathon takes over on 4th.January.2026 ,Sunday celebrating 9 years of I-Help Foundation Goa & I-Run Goa Marathon. The 7th edition has been officially announced for 2026 and the event is gearing to light up Goa into a grand spectacle, like never seen before. The participants, volunteers, and spectators have been awaiting the event for long, and the event now returns with a best-in-class experience.
IRGM – I-RUN GOA MARATHON is where people celebrate their fitness, and come together to experience the joy of crossing the finish line with greater satisfaction and renewed purpose.
All the people who stand at the start line of the I-Run Goa Marathon begin their journey to the event months before by training and adding miles to their life.
I-Run Goa Marathon is a living, thriving model of how running can transform individuals and, in turn, entire communities. IRGM creates the necessary ambience for men, women and children of all ages to come out of their homes and run. As a result, running has become the key to unlock health, inspiration and community revitalization.

The integral approaches of I-Help Foundation has gained recognition & appreciation to our organization from many eminent personalities like Mrs.Mridula Sinha, Hon’ble Governor of Goa & Shri.Shripad Naik, Hon’ble Minister of State (Independent Charge) for AYUSH, Government of India. I-Help Foundation Goa was recognised under TOP TEN RISING NGOs in 2021-2022 by ANI and other print medias.
I-Help Foundation Goa is organizing impactful social rejuvenation activities throughout the state to uplift and empower the people. Additionally, as part of its I-Educare initiative, I-Help Foundation Goa is proudly sponsoring free education for underprivileged children, ensuring they have access to quality learning opportunities.
I-Run Goa Marathon is more than just a race. It is a powerful platform to spread messages about health, child education, tree plantation, cleanliness, and reducing plastic usage. Our goal is to inspire society and create awareness about these crucial issues.Through I-Run Goa Marathon, we aim to bring joy and happiness to the faces of all participants. Event HIStory
The 2018 I-Run Goa Marathon, held on January 21, saw the largest turnout in its history with over 1,000 participants from across India. I-Help Foundation Goa believes that marathons unite cities and people of all backgrounds—“The road is a great leveller.” A few years ago, Goa was largely a spectating state, but with the Foundation’s dedication and support from its partners, organizing I-Run Goa Marathon has transformed the local fitness culture. The event has inspired many road races and created a platform for runners across the country, symbolizing unity, compassion, and community spirit.
Today, I-Run Goa Marathon ranks among the top marathons in the state, putting Goa on the global distance-running map. The event features 14K–21K, 7K–10K, and 2K wheelchair runs, drawing over 1,000 participants—amateurs, enthusiasts, and elite runners—on the Miramar–Dona Paula–Bambolim route each January. It stands as Goa’s biggest participation sport and the largest fundraising event for I-Help Foundation Goa.

I-Run marathon Goa is an initiative started by the I-Help Foundation which is an active youth volunteering organization based in Goa, dedicated to uplifting underprivileged individuals in the region. This registered non- governmental organization (NGO) has initiated various projects and activities aimed at making a positive impact on the community. One of their notable initiatives is the “I-Run Marathon,” is designed to raise funds through crowd-funding efforts for the benefit of St. Joseph’s Boys Orphanage in Goa and the other initiatives and ventures backed by the foundation.
This marathon event takes place in Taliegao.
The I-Run Goa Marathon has a multifaceted mission. It aims to raise awareness in society about health, child education, the significance of tree planting, cleanliness, and the reduction of plastic use. Additionally, the marathon seeks to spread joy and happiness among its participants through the act of running. Furthermore, the event strives to extend the spirit of fitness and running to every household in Goa, while also educating people about the importance of trees and soil conservation in their daily lives.
The funds procured during this event will be used to support the other initiatives run by the I-Help foundation like the I-Help Evergreen Goa , I-Help blood donation, School kit donation,I-Clean,I-warriors, I-Educare , and I-Help Goa outreach

Taper your training before the marathon, and learn from your experiences to make improvements for future races
The I-Run Marathon competition spans over a broad spectrum. At the front are elite runners competing for top honors, followed by competitive runners aiming for strong times. Recreational and first-time participants prioritize personal achievement. Age group categories add competitive elements, while charity and fun runners focus on causes or enjoyment. Our marathon caters to diverse objectives and abilities.
There are no age categories or specific requirements for the participants. It’s open to people of all ages.
There are no specific requirements to register for the run. You are only asked to adhere to race rules, be in appropriate attire and have medical clearance to participate in this run.
There is a time-chip bib which is attached to the participants clothing and that tracks the time and results for you.
